For those who have been going through trials ...
Maybe a family member or dear friend is ill; perhaps you are experiencing financial difficulties; maybe you are overburdened and still cannot say no ...

Blessed are You, oh Lord my God. Lord, I am weak and scarcely have the strength to go on. This situation, this trial, is more than I can bear.

Lord, You promised that You would never leave me or forsake me! It is when I am weak that You are strong. Lord, strengthen my heart. Be with me in the midst of my trials. Give me the peace that surpasses all understanding. Surround me, oh Lord, with Your love, in Jesus' Name!

I thank You, Lord, for Your wisdom and for Your tender mercy. You are God, and there is no one else like You. Blessed be the Name of the Lord, now and forever.

For those who are depressed and or feeling bad about themselves ...

Lord, nothing is hidden from You. You see my heart and you know my mind and spirit.

I feel like I am in such a deep, dark hole. When I look up, I cannot see the light of day nor the stars in the sky at night. Help me, my Lord and my God! Lift me up. Let me see the light of day again. Allow me to feel the fire of Your love within my heart and my spirit, Lord! I need the light of Your love.

Ease my heart, dear Jesus, and grant me joy. Restore unto me the joy of Your salvation. Gladden my heart, and grant me joy unspeakable! Put the people in my path that have your words in their mouths, your joy in their hearts, and your love in their lives.

I will thank You and praise You Lord all the days of my life.

For friends who are ill ...

Father,

You are the Almighty, the creator of everything. Yet you still care about me! Thank you for the many mercies that you have granted to me.

I come before you now for ____________________________, who is ill, Lord. He (she) is very sick, not only in body, but also in spirit. Touch him (her), dear Lord. Heal hin (her) physically, mentally, and emotionally. You know how draining an illness is upon a person's whole being. Lord, I ask you to remove the pain (hurt) and to heal the cause of the pain. Strengthen ______________________, and bring him (her) into a closer relationship with you. Surround him (her) with your love. Lord, let him (her) feel your love, grace, mercy, and compassion.

Strengthen his (her) family and friends to endure this hardship, and to stay close to him (her). Guide their hearts and lips in what to say and when to say it. When talking is unnecessary, let them hold his (her) by the hand.

Great are you, oh Lord, my God. I bless and praise you for your goodness, thoughtfulness, and faithfulness towards your children. Let it be with ______________________ according to your will.
